About the position

Zingerman's Creative Services is seeking a part-time Copywriter to join their team. This role involves creating, editing, and proofreading various marketing materials while collaborating with the Creative Services team. The Copywriter will contribute to the Zingerman's brand by ensuring all written content aligns with the company's voice and standards. This position offers the flexibility of partial remote work and requires in-person attendance on specific days at the Ann Arbor office.

Responsibilities

• Research, create, edit, and proofread copy for marketing and customer communications, including blogs, newsletters, social media, websites, ads, menus, and signs.
• Write in Zingerman's brand voices.
• Continuously learn about the food produced by the Zingerman's Community of Businesses (ZCoB) and the classes offered.
• Attend department and organization meetings.
• Uphold Zingerman's Guiding Principles and Recipes.

Requirements

• Exceptional writing skills in the English language.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in professional writing.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating published writing.
• Proficient in Google Suite Apps.
• Ability to maintain client brand in copy work.
• Strong customer service skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Zingerman's brand and businesses.
• Experience in food writing and understanding of food vocabulary.
• Proficiency in WordPress or Mailchimp.
• Proficiency in Toggl and ClickUp.
• Knowledge of SEO.
