About the position

The Human Resources Employment Specialist at Zingerman's Service Network is responsible for leading recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and retention initiatives within the Zingerman's Community of Businesses (ZCoB). This role involves collaboration with hiring managers and HR Generalists to enhance the hiring process, build community relationships, and ensure compliance with employment laws while providing excellent service to applicants and job seekers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and retention initiatives within ZCoB.
  • Work with hiring managers and HR Generalists to improve hiring processes.
  • Collect and report metrics to drive employment strategies.
  • Develop strategies for hard-to-fill positions and seasonal workforce needs.
  • Collaborate with Zingerman's businesses for workforce planning and career development.
  • Manage the applicant tracking system and improve HRIS processes.
  • Source and recruit applicants through various online platforms.
  • Build relationships with community agencies and academic institutions to create diverse applicant pipelines.
  • Represent the organization at job fairs and other recruitment events.
  • Assist job applicants with the application process and job placement.
  • Provide coaching to hiring managers and HR generalists on best hiring practices.
  • Analyze HR data to assist with strategic staffing initiatives.
  • Develop and teach hiring-related classes and workshops.
  • Review and recommend new policies for compliance with employment laws.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 2 years of related experience in human resources, focusing on recruiting and talent management.
  • Experience managing applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Excellent data analysis skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Proficient in HRIS and Google Docs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources preferred.
  • 5 years of human resources experience with a focus on recruiting and hiring.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws related to hiring.
