About the position

The Zone Lead (ZL) plays a crucial role in supporting merchandising efforts within designated zones of the store, ensuring that visual merchandising standards are met to drive sales. This position is responsible for maintaining an active selling culture, overseeing visual aspects, and influencing team members to uphold company standards while fostering a culture of ethical conduct and safety.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of visual merchandising processes by planning and leading transitions and resets in collaboration with the Zone Manager.
• Oversee Task Management by planning and executing daily/weekly workloads and assigned tasks to meet visual merchandising and sales goals.
• Participate in freight processes for incoming stock and maintain organized zones through effective stocking and end cap maintenance.
• Support customer satisfaction, inventory control, safety, and loss prevention to ensure effective store operations.
• Serve as a role model and coach in visual merchandising, providing continuous learning opportunities to team members.
• Communicate and train visual priorities to enhance customer experience through compelling visual merchandising.
• Review store financial data and act to improve metrics within assigned zones.
• Ensure maintenance of a neat, clean, organized zone with up-to-date signage and merchandising sets.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Excellent verbal, written, and comprehension communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. or team lift 100 lbs.
• Ability to interpret visual merchandising presentations and adapt them to different store designs.
• Strong attention to detail regarding standards, marketing, lighting, and fixturing.
• Reliable and trustworthy role model for ethical behavior.
• Ability to create a sense of urgency and promote teamwork.
