At Teal, we’re setting out to level the playing field for professionals who want more—more growth, more opportunities, and more alignment with their values—by building a truly consumer-first platform that redefines career growth. Our goal is to help people make confident career decisions with the tools, technology, and resources they need to achieve success on their terms. As our Director of Product, you’ll drive our activation, conversion, and retention strategy, making sure our platform delivers value to professionals navigating their careers across the entire customer lifecycle.
I’m Dave Fano, the Founder and CEO of Teal! Since this role will be a close thought partner with me, rather than a generic job description, I thought I’d tell you exactly what I’m looking for.
I started Teal because there was truly no consumer focused product designed to empower individuals in their careers. Every job board, every new AI tool, every hot SaaS product is built for the benefit of companies, not people. I wanted to revolutionize the way individuals manage their careers with intuitive, AI-powered tools that help people achieve their goals and give them some power back in their careers.
Along with expansion of our product line, we recently announced our Series A round of funding, and now I’m looking for a fully remote Director of Product to be at the helm of our continued growth as we strive to help millions of individuals! This is a unique chance to report directly to me and lead product strategy, define growth initiatives, and drive innovation in a purpose-driven, well funded, company where every decision impacts the lives of our members.
At Teal we evolve as we grow, so while I have a list of expected responsibilities, I also want to point out that being comfortable with a role where priorities or expectations may shift is important. You will test, learn, fail (probably several times), and try it again a bit differently next time. Teal is not a product that people have to use, or return back to each day, our members make a deliberate choice every day to log in, so it is very important for me in this role to have somebody who has done this before at a growing, high volume, product company that relies on a self-serve sign up and wants to deliver an incredible and enjoyable user experience!
