We're looking for a talented and enthusiastic Editorial Lead to join our fully remote team, based in the US. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a team of writers and subject matter experts to develop high-quality and informative content. Ensure all content aligns with our brand's tone, style, and SEO best practices.
  • Collaborate with our SEO strategists to incorporate relevant keywords and ensure content is optimized for search engines, increasing its visibility and reach to our target audience.
  • Take ownership of the editorial content calendar and freelance writer management, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, and regular communication to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Drive the content creation process from start to finish, including creating detailed freelancer briefs, providing thoughtful edits, and managing content ops to upload content to our CMS.
  • Research and curate valuable insights and resources related to job searching techniques, interview preparation, networking, and career advancement and ensure articles are optimized for searchability and include the right keywords.
  • Contribute to the development of the content strategy, identifying content gaps, and proposing new content ideas to cater to our users' needs.
  • Partner with brand marketing team to align on-platform editorial strategy, organic social media campaigns, customer research, and persona development as needed.
  • Work closely with product and revenue teams to ensure content drives business growth, including increased new member sign-ups, newsletter subscriptions and revenue.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in content management, editorial planning, or related roles. (Expecting 5+ years of relevant experience)
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices and how to optimize content for organic growth.
  • Familiarity with web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to measure content performance.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience doing keyword research with tools such as AHREFS or SEMRush.
  • Comfortable working in a remote environment.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with creating and editing content for SaaS products.
  • Experience with BoFu content that converts quickly to product signups. (We convert at 3% to 5% to signup from career hub today).
  • Experience with Webflow and Airtable for content operations and publishing.

What Great Looks Like

At 1 Day

  • You will have become familiar with Teal's products and member profiles
  • You will have set up your hardware and software
  • You will have reviewed your first brief

At 1 Week

  • You will have written your first brief with our brief automation process
  • You will have edited your first first piece of content (under 1,000 words)
  • You will have written your first first piece of content (under 1,000 words)

At 1 Month

  • You will have sourced and hired freelance writers
  • You will have assigned the next month's freelance writer assignments
  • You will have edited at least half of the current month's pieces (~10 pieces of content)

At 3 Months

  • You will help drive the keyword and content strategy
  • You will be editing all of content for the Career Hub
  • You will own the brief creation and assignment process

What We Offer

  • Salary: Our target budget is $110,000 but can increase the budget up to 15% for more experienced candidates

Exploratory Interview

  • Goal: High level qualifications & mutual fit
  • 30 minute Zoom with 1 Teal person
  • We make sure to preserve 10 minutes for your questions.
  • We will provide the question and guidance in advance.

Technical Interview

  • Goals: Deeper understanding of skills & qualifications
  • 1.5 hour Zoom with 1 to 2 Teal people
  • 1st 30 minutes we will dive into a past project
  • 2nd 30 minutes we will talk through a current Teal challenge
  • 3rd 30 minutes we do a technical exercise together
  • All material will be provided in advance

Work Culture Interview

  • Goal: Meet more of the Team
  • 60 minute Zoom with 1 to 2 Teal people
  • All material will be provided in advance
