We are seeking a fully remote Senior SEO Outreach and Partnerships Specialist to lead our efforts in strengthening and expanding our organic presence. Your primary focus will be on acquiring high-quality, meaningful backlinks and brand mentions from authoritative, relevant websites within our niche that align with Teal's mission and audience. Additionally, you will provide strategic insights into content creation to support our link acquisition strategies.

Reporting to our Director of Growth, you will collaborate closely with our content team to develop and execute strategies that enhance our organic search performance and brand awareness. We are looking for someone who can immerse themselves in Teal's vision, develop innovative strategies, and execute them to deliver results.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute Backlink Acquisition Strategy:
    • Create and implement a comprehensive strategy to acquire high-quality backlinks from authoritative, relevant websites in our niche.
    • Identify and prioritize potential partners, publications, and influencers for backlink and brand mention opportunities.
  • Secure Brand Mentions and Increase Awareness:
    • Obtain meaningful brand mentions that elevate Teal's visibility and align with our product, mission, and audience.
    • Foster relationships with key industry players to amplify Teal's brand presence.
  • Provide Content Strategy Insights:
    • Recommend types of content that attract links and attention, such as research studies, data-driven pieces, surveys, and insightful editorial content.
    • Collaborate with the content team to create link-worthy content that supports our link acquisition and brand awareness goals.
  • Outreach and Relationship Management:
    • Conduct personalized outreach to target websites, creators, and influencers to secure quality backlinks and brand mentions.
    • Build and nurture long-term relationships with external partners that align with our brand values.
  • Strategic Collaboration and Execution:
    • Work independently and collaboratively to develop innovative strategies that strengthen our organic presence.
    • Share insights, ideas, and strategies with the team to continuously improve our outreach efforts.
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting:
    • Monitor and report on backlink acquisition progress, including link quality, link velocity, and impact on SEO and brand awareness metrics.
    • Utilize SEO tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush to analyze backlink profiles, identify opportunities, and monitor competitor backlinks.
  • Leverage Low-Hanging Fruit Opportunities:
    • Address opportunities such as fixing broken backlinks, reclaiming lost links, and updating redirected links to enhance our backlink profile.
  • Stay Current with Industry Trends:
    • Keep up-to-date with industry developments, Google algorithm changes, and best practices in SEO, link building, and content marketing.
    • Adapt strategies to ensure effectiveness in the evolving SEO landscape.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of proven experience in SEO outreach, backlink acquisition, and content partnerships, with a strong track record of securing high-quality backlinks and brand mentions.
  • Deep understanding of SEO principles, particularly related to link building, organic traffic growth, and content strategies that attract links.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to craft compelling outreach messages and pitches.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple outreach campaigns, partnerships, and content initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar platforms.
  • Experience in developing and executing strategic outreach plans that align with business goals and enhance brand awareness.
  • Ability to provide strategic insights into content creation to support link acquisition and brand mention strategies.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members in a remote environment.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Creative thinker who can identify unique opportunities for collaboration and growth.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Existing relationships with relevant media outlets, publications, or influencers in the career development or job search niche.
  • Experience with technical SEO, including fixing broken links and optimizing 301 redirects.
  • Background in digital PR or content partnerships that extend beyond link building.
  • Familiarity with Webflow and experience collaborating closely with content teams.
  • Experience in a startup environment, particularly in B2C SaaS companies.
  • Knowledge of email automation tools and ability to set up and optimize outreach workflows.
  • Proficiency with analytics platforms like Google Analytics for tracking the impact of outreach efforts.

What Great Looks Like

At Day 1:

  • You immerse yourself in Teal's platform, mission, target audience, and existing organic presence.
  • You meet with team members to understand current SEO strategies, priorities, and content initiatives.
  • You review our existing backlink data and identify immediate high-impact opportunities.

At 1 Week:

  • You develop an initial strategic plan targeting high-priority websites, publications, and pages for backlink acquisition and brand mentions.
  • You initiate outreach to potential partners with customized, compelling pitches.
  • You provide insights into potential content opportunities that could support link acquisition.

At 1 Month:

  • You secure your first set of high-quality backlinks and meaningful brand mentions aligned with our priority pages and brand messaging.
  • You establish relationships with key websites, influencers, and publications in our niche.
  • You collaborate with the content team to initiate the creation of link-worthy content based on your recommendations.
  • You implement a robust tracking system to monitor outreach efforts, backlink acquisitions, and their impact.

At 3 Months:

  • You consistently secure an increased number of quality backlinks and brand mentions, significantly contributing to our organic growth.
  • You refine and optimize the outreach process, incorporating feedback and improving efficiency.
  • You collaborate effectively with internal teams, aligning backlinking efforts with overall SEO and content strategies.
  • You contribute valuable insights that influence our content creation, resulting in increased engagement and link acquisition.
  • You explore and initiate content partnership opportunities that support broader growth goals.

What We Offer

At Teal, we believe in full transparency when it comes to compensation, regardless of negotiation skills or background. For this role, the salary is set at $95,000.

Paid Work Trial

  • Goal: See you in action and let you work closely with your potential team, If you have reached this step, we are hoping that we have found out person.
  • You will be given a  project to work on over a week and full access to any Teal resource and employee you need
