Prerequisites
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (or its equivalent), which will be verified through a documentation process.
A minimum of 24 months of internal auditing experience or its equivalent (which may include audit/assessment disciplines, external auditing, quality assurance, compliance, and internal control).
Character reference signed by a CIA, CGAP, CCSA, CFSA, CRMA, or the candidate's supervisor, attesting to the candidate's moral and professional character.
Agreement to abide by the IIA's Code of Ethics.
Completion of the CIA exam syllabus, which is divided into three parts, each focusing on a different aspect of internal auditing.
Proof of identification (government-issued ID with a photograph and signature) to be presented at the testing center.
