A minimum of three years of professional experience in a position of responsibility in remote sensing and/or related geospatial sciences.
A four-year degree in physical, engineering, or biological sciences, computer science, or a related field. Relevant professional experience can be substituted for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
Submission of a portfolio of work, which may include reports, maps, or other relevant materials that demonstrate the candidate's professional experience in remote sensing.
Three references from professionals who can attest to the candidate's work experience and competence in remote sensing.
Passing a written examination that covers topics such as remote sensing science and principles, data acquisition, processing, analysis, and ethical issues in the geospatial field.
Agreement to adhere to the ASPRS Code of Ethics and Rules of Conduct.
