A four-year degree (bachelor's degree or the global equivalent) with at least four years (6,000 hours) of project management experience and four years (6,000 hours) of program management experience.
Proof of professional experience must be provided, detailing the projects and programs managed including descriptions of program deliverables, governance, and other relevant details.
Completion of an application that includes an extensive description of your program management experience, which is subject to an audit.
Passing the Program Management Professional (PgMP) examination, which consists of multiple-choice questions covering the domains of program management.
Once certified, maintaining the PgMP certification requires earning 60 professional development units (PDUs) in a three-year cycle.
