A minimum of eight years of professional experience, with at least three years in a decision-making position related to the body of knowledge.
A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution reduces the professional experience requirement to four years, with at least three years in a decision-making capacity.
For those without a bachelor's degree, a diploma from a technical or trade school, plus two additional years of work experience in the software quality field, can also reduce the professional experience requirement to six years.
