Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a talented and passionate Senior Data Engineer to join our Cloud Economics team in São Paulo, Brazil. As part of this team, your mission will be to enhance productivity and efficiency across the company by identifying and investigating opportunities related to technology resource usage and provisioning. In this role, you will be responsible for developing analyses and algorithms to identify usage patterns and improve data storage and usage. The ideal candidate is curious, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

• Build and maintain data lakes for consolidating and querying information from multiple data sources
• Enhance data discovery capabilities
• Identify and propose handling of unused data (sampling, deletion, move to colder storage)
• Find and propose data modeling optimizations to avoid inefficiencies
• Develop an internal cost allocation data lake for a technology provider
• Have a university degree in computing-related courses
• Have 2+ years of experience as a data engineer
• Proficient in SQL programming
• Experience in creating data pipelines
• Knowledge and experience with Python or Spark
• Knowledge and experience with AWS
• Knowledge and experience with Airflow or other workflow management tool is a plus
• Resourceful and proactive attitude
• Passionate about the data industry and innovation
• Willingness to propose and explore new initiatives

• University degree in courses related to computing such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
• 2+ years of experience working as a data engineer on technically challenging problems
• Programmer with SQL proficiency
• Experience creating data pipelines
• Knowledge and experience with Python or Spark
• Knowledge and experience with AWS
• Knowledge and experience with Airflow or other workflow management tool is a differential
• Resourceful person with a go-getter attitude
