Prerequisites
A minimum of 10 years of general work experience, with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role, or a bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of management experience.
Completion of the CM self-study courses or an accredited degree program that includes management theory.
Successful completion of three CM exams, which assess knowledge in management principles, planning and organizing, leading and controlling.
Agreement to adhere to the ICPM's Code of Ethics, which sets forth professional standards for managers.
Payment of the certification fees, which include application, examination, and designation fees.
Commitment to continuing education for maintaining the certification, as CMs must recertify every three years.
