Prerequisites
Hold an active, unrestricted license as a healthcare professional in the field where the candidate is practicing which may include: LPN/LVN, RN, NP, PT, PTA, OT, MD, DO, DPM, PA, and Dietitians.
Complete at least three full years of clinical wound care experience post professional degree.
Accumulate a minimum of 30 continuing education hours in wound care related courses from an accredited provider within the past five years.
Agree to adhere to the ABWM Code of Conduct and Ethics.
Submit a completed CWCA examination application along with the required fees.
Pass the CWCA certification examination.
