QA Automation Tech Lead

The job overview for the QA Automation Tech Lead position is that the candidate will be responsible for driving and structuring the QA and test automation processes to ensure the overall quality of Airtame's products. They will work closely with the R&D team, product managers, engineering teams, and tech support to ensure high-quality standards are met. The QA Tech Lead will act as a sparring partner and provide guidance to QA Engineers, continuously improve QA processes, and take ownership of the QA aspect of the software development lifecycle. They should have strong proficiency in automation test design, be able to work autonomously, and have experience working in a geographically distributed remote team.

• Act as a sparring partner and support to peer QA Engineers, providing guidance and advice on best practice Automation processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects
• Be the Subject Area Expert for one of the engineering products and projects
• Continuously improve the QA processes and identify areas for growth
• Own the QA aspect of the whole Software Development Lifecycle on projects
• Create test design and test documentation for upcoming features
• Run exploratory testing sessions on existing functionality
• Take responsibility and ownership for the inhouse customised test rig, and implement frameworks to support and improve testing capabilities
• Articulate and clearly convey the scopes of the problems by identifying key issues and providing input to stakeholders
• Work as a good team player and collaborate smoothly with engineers from multidisciplinary and remote teams
• Proficient in efficient Automation test design
• Work autonomously and handle workload planning, prioritizing, estimating, and scheduling
• Experience and/or willingness to work in a geographically distributed remote team
• Proactive and have a can-do attitude
• Delivery-oriented mindset
• Good communication skills in English
• Previous experience in testing Hardware, Firmware, and Software
