About the position
The role of Seasonal Experience Support at CAMP is to provide exceptional customer service and create a positive and engaging environment for families visiting the retail locations. This includes welcoming guests, playing and engaging with families, demonstrating and playing with products, assisting with store opening and closing processes, processing transactions, and maintaining brand and operating standards. The ideal candidate should have a high degree of integrity, be a team player, and possess strong communication and organizational skills. The role requires the ability to work weekends and during the busy holiday season, as well as the physical ability to stand for long periods of time and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming guests with a custom greeting and positive attitude
- Playing with and engaging with families as they journey through CAMP
- Demoing and playing with products
- Performing store opening and closing checklist processes
- Assisting with back of house processes and procedures as needed, including product replenishment on the sales floor
- Accurately processing POS transactions and capturing customer information
- Assisting in the canteen or experience by providing floor coverage and exceeding customer service standards
- Adhering to all policies and procedures, with a focus on loss prevention, operational excellence, and customer engagement
- Start of shift and end of shift check-ins with leadership daily
- Following CAMP gift wrapping guidelines
- Partnering with store leadership team to address issues and communicate recommendations
- Assisting and upselling to customers using the C.A.M.P method
- Cleaning and maintaining canteen, party rooms, restrooms, experience, etc. to ensure a safe and clean environment
- Additional responsibilities as needed
Requirements
- Ability to work at least one weekend day/week, ideally both
- Ability to work during the busy holiday season
- Ability to work between 10-15 hours per week, with potential for up to 20 hours based on business needs and availability
- Prior work experience in retail, child care, child development/education, performing arts, or improv (preferred but not required)
- Basic computer skills required
- Detail-oriented with strong organization and follow-up skills
- Ability to multitask and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as within a team
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift items weighing up to 50lbs
- Positive attitude and ability to contribute to a positive team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Patience, warmth, agility, joy, and humor
- Authorized to work lawfully in the United States
