Senior Front End Engineer, Captable Platform

The job overview for this role is to work as part of the Captable Platform Team at Carta, a platform that helps people manage equity, build businesses, and invest in the companies of tomorrow. The team's goal is to deliver an unmatched experience to core captable customers through engaging and easy-to-use workflows. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for coordinating all UI/UX experiences for common user flows across all captable teams, working closely with other Carta platform teams and design teams. Your focus will be on improving navigation, optimizing the dashboard experience, and empowering users to utilize Carta to its fullest potential.

• Coordinate UI/UX experience for common user flows across all captable teams
• Work closely with other Carta platform teams and Carta Design Teams
• Improve navigation across Carta platform by launching a new navigation framework
• Optimize dashboard experience for customers by focusing on action-oriented tasks, captable health, and data correction
• Empower users to use Carta to its fullest potential
• Make navigation through Carta easy and deliver cohesive user experiences
• Generate excitement about new products
• Increase issuer NPS/CSAT/CES through easier navigation within the cap table product
• Increase top of funnel lead generation for upsell products through navigation and education within the cap table product
• Be an expert in React and its ecosystem, including advanced features like hooks, context, and render props
• Be a seasoned front-end developer with a deep understanding of the JavaScript ecosystem

• Experience in improving navigation and user experiences in web applications
• Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and collaboration with design teams
• Ability to optimize dashboard experiences and ensure data accuracy
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to empower users to utilize the platform effectively
• Knowledge of cap table products and their navigation
• Understanding of NPS/CSAT/CES metrics and ability to increase customer satisfaction through improved navigation
• Experience in lead generation for upsell products within a web application context

• Increase issuer NPS/CSAT/CES through easier navigation within the cap table product
• Increase top of funnel lead generation for upsell products through navigation and education within the cap table product
• Experts in React, its ecosystem and history, and know the ins and outs of using advanced features like hooks, context, render props, etc
• Seasoned front-end developers that understand how the Javascript ecosystem has developed over the past few years and that have worked with technologies like jQuery, KnockoutJS, EmberJS or others
• Experienced testers and are capable of both writing testable code and of writing unit, visual and integration tests
• Collaborators with designers and are familiar with their tools and workflows
• Experienced with Typescript and understand the value of strongly, correctly-typed code and the amount of time it saves to do so
• Seasoned writers of documentation, proposals, and specifications. Each component has to be explained in detail in a way that is accessible for designers and comprehensive for engineers
• Developers of tools that automate and simplify their and others’ workflows, from command-line interfaces to design and prototyping tools
• Knowledgeable about accessibility, usability, WCAG and ARIA tools and features and their impact on people who rely on assistive technology
