About the position
We are looking for a software engineer who will be responsible for designing and implementing major software components, systems, and features. The ideal candidate will have experience with full-stack architecture and distributed systems, and will be able to solve product problems and build delightful API and developer experiences for our users. They will also engage in critical decisions regarding software best practices, LULA systems, and stakeholders' concerns, and mentor and train other team members on design techniques and coding standards. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience, is required.
Responsibilities
- Design and implementation of major software components, systems, and features.
- Solve product problems and build delightful API and developer experiences for our users.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve the software.
- Engage in critical decisions regarding software best practices, LULA systems, and stakeholders' concerns.
- Mentor and train other team members on design techniques, and coding standards.
Requirements
- Design and implement major software components, systems, and features
- Solve product problems and build delightful API and developer experiences for users
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software
- Engage in critical decisions regarding software best practices, LULA systems, and stakeholders' concerns
- Mentor and train other team members on design techniques and coding standards
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience
- Have experience with full-stack architecture and distributed systems
- Be language agnostic and believe that languages can be learned; care more about general engineering skill than knowledge of a particular language or framework
- Have production experience designing and shipping highly reliable backend systems and API
- Thrive in a collaborative environment; experience with distributed teams is a plus
- Take pride in shipping high-quality products from start to finish.
