The Accounting Clerk plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day accounting functions of the hotel. This role assists the Finance team with administrative and accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy, organization, and compliance with Makeready standards.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance preferred
  • Experience in hospitality or hotel accounting a plus
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • High level of accuracy and integrity in handling financial information

Responsibilities

  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of transactions
  • Support daily revenue reconciliation and posting as needed
  • Assist with payroll coordination and related administrative tasks
  • Prepare and organize financial reports, records, and files
  • Reconcile discrepancies and assist in resolving accounting issues
  • Support month-end closing processes and financial reporting
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial information
