Prerequisites
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent

Practical experience working with infants and toddlers, which could include professional experience in a licensed childcare setting or a supervised practicum
Understanding of and commitment to NAEYC's Code of Ethical Conduct and Statement of Commitment
Successful completion of a comprehensive assessment that may include a portfolio, observation, and/or written examination
Continuing education or professional development requirements to maintain the credential
