Prerequisites
Bachelor’s degree in behavioral or social sciences, or a related field, or a high school diploma with a combination of work experience in psychiatric rehabilitation.
Minimum of two years of paid, full-time equivalent, supervised work experience in psychiatric rehabilitation services for those with a bachelor’s degree, or four years for those without a bachelor’s degree.
Completion of a minimum number of hours of training and education in psychiatric rehabilitation and related topics within the three years prior to applying for the certification.
Agreement to adhere to the CPRP Code of Ethics.
Passing the CPRP examination, which assesses knowledge in areas such as ethics, service delivery, and intervention strategies.
Commitment to engage in continuing education to maintain the certification, including a specific number of continuing education units (CEUs) over a designated recertification period.
