Prerequisites
A minimum of two years of experience in a payroll management role, which includes being responsible for an organization's payroll function.
Completion of the Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification, which is also offered by the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA).
Successful completion of the Introduction to Payroll Management prerequisite course if the PCP certification was achieved more than five years prior to applying for the CPM certification.
Enrollment as a member in good standing with the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA).
Completion of the CPM certification courses: Managerial Accounting, Organizational Behaviour Management, Compensation and Benefits Management, and Strategic Payroll Management.
Adherence to the CPA's Code of Professional Conduct.
