Senior Financial Analyst

The Senior Financial Analyst at Sensei Ag is responsible for developing comprehensive financial models to guide strategic decision-making and ensure the financial viability of new and existing greenhouse locations. They will conduct in-depth financial analysis, collaborate with cross-functional teams, assess capital expenditures, and identify and mitigate potential risks. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of five years of finance experience, expertise in building and managing financial models, and knowledge of the full value chain with a focus on manufacturing/production processes and supply chain dynamics.

• Develop robust financial models to assess the feasibility, profitability, and potential risks of new and existing greenhouse locations.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including revenue projections, cost estimations, cash flow forecasts, and return on investment calculations.
• Incorporate sensitivity analyses and scenario planning to assess various market conditions and potential outcomes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, supply chain, engineering, sales, and marketing, to gather relevant data and insights required for accurate financial modeling.
• Communicate complex financial concepts and insights effectively to non-financial stakeholders, guiding them through the rationale behind the models and outcomes.
• Evaluate and quantify capital expenditure requirements with engineering and operations, considering factors such as equipment, facilities, infrastructure, and operational startup costs.
• Analyze the optimal allocation of resources to maximize efficiency and return on investment.
• Identify potential financial and operational risks associated with new projects.
• Develop strategies to mitigate risks and incorporate risk factors into financial models.
• Minimum of five (5) years of finance experience or a related analytical field.
• Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and decisions.
• Knowledge of full value chain with particular emphasis on manufacturing/production processes, supply chain dynamics, and operational considerations.
