Senior Implementation Data Scientist

Altana is seeking talented Implementation Data Scientists to join their Implementation team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing successful customer software deployments, developing new product specifications based on customer feedback, and acting as the "voice of the customer." You will collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Product Managers, Software Engineers, and the leadership team to ensure successful deployments of the Altana Atlas and deliver immediate value to customers. This position will support US government customers and may require clearance for access to classified data or systems.

• Manage successful customer software deployments and technical work streams from end-to-end
• Effectively manage priorities, deliver on-time, and communicate effectively internally and with customers
• Become a power-user of the Atlas platform, data, and API products
• Support customers in rapidly achieving value from the solution and identify new use cases
• Communicate directly with customer analysts and senior decision makers
• Oversee platform deployments and integrate customer data
• Build prototypes and customizations to expand product functionality
• Support US government customers and potentially require clearance for access to classified data or systems
• Have 8+ years of technical experience in analytics, data science, software engineering, or a similar field
• Be TS/SCI eligible and available to work on-site in the DC/Virginia/Maryland area
• Have experience working with sensitive data
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills
• Nice to have: exposure to trade compliance, supply chain management, shipping and logistics, or a field related to international commerce
• Nice to have: experience with Machine Learning toolsets, cloud services like AWS, Azure, or GCP, and working with government managed systems
• Technologies used at Altana: Python, Spark, SQL, Docker, Git, Kubernetes, Swagger/OpenAPI, AWS, Azure

• 8+ years of technical experience in analytics, data science, software engineering or a similar technology related field using Python, SQL, Databricks, ArangoDB, AWS or Azure
• TS/SCI eligible and available to work on-site in the DC/Virginia/Maryland area
• Experienced working with sensitive data
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Exposure to trade compliance, supply chain management, shipping and logistics, or a field similarly related to international commerce (nice to have)
• Experience with Machine Learning toolsets (Scikit-learn, Numpy, Pandas, Dedupe) (nice to have)
• Working knowledge of cloud services like AWS, Azure, or GCP (nice to have)
• Experience working with AWS GovCloud or other government managed systems (nice to have)

• Target base salary range of $130,000 to $200,000 for the Senior Implementation Data Scientist role
