About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent years of related experience, required.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, required.
• Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel.
• Willingness and ability to train operational partners in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, required.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Thorough knowledge of general accounting principles and best practices.
• Ability to analyze and resolve problems at both a strategic and functional level.
• Mathematic competence.
• Self-starter with strong initiative and the ability to work independently.

Nice To Haves

• Accounting experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment, strongly preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Ax, a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete monthly closing process for divisional and corporate entities.
• Review and prepare journal entries.
• Analyze and publish financial statements.
• Prepare financial information monthly/quarterly/annually using approved company financial reporting tools.
• Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, and entering journal entries.
• Assist in month-end close processes and reconciliations.
• Prepare interim and year-end audit work papers.
• Analyze general ledger accounts and interpret data utilizing spreadsheets.
• Maintain and reconcile fixed assets schedules for internal GAAP books and tax for multiple legal entities.
• Provide ERP software support for locations nationwide.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts supporting various business segments.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
