Requirements

  • University degree or College diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field is required
  • 5+ years of experience in a procurement role, preferably with exposure to the food and beverage industry or sourcing food commodities.
  • Experience negotiating commercial terms & service level agreements covering various spend categories
  • Good communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders and other supporting teams at all levels of organization and deliver effective presentations.
  • Proven ability to manage competing agendas and priorities and translate complex information across internal and external audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, ability to maintain a high degree of personal organization.
  • Strong financial acumen with consultative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with experience sourcing within complex spend categories
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including the ability to create/manage complex spreadsheets and perform quantitative analysis in MS Excel.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and critical thinking skills with demonstrated use of data analysis and metrics to drive decision making and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute packaging sourcing strategies across primary and secondary packaging to drive cost optimization, quality improvement, sustainability, and service performance.
  • Partner with Engineering, Sales, Operations, and Quality teams to support packaging development from concept through commercialization, ensuring supplier alignment with technical and business requirements.
  • Lead supplier negotiations for packaging materials and services, ensuring commercial agreements align with company objectives, risk tolerance, and compliance standards.
  • Manage and optimize strategic supplier relationships, ensuring strong performance in quality, delivery, innovation, and cost competitiveness.
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities, capacity, financial stability, and technical readiness to support packaging innovation and long-term supply resilience.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (Operations, Quality, Finance, Engineering, Sustainability) to translate packaging requirements into effective sourcing and supply strategies.
  • Monitor supplier performance using defined KPIs, driving continuous improvement, corrective actions, and accountability across the supply base.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for packaging innovation, cost reduction, material optimization, and process efficiency improvements.
  • Track market trends, raw material movements, regulatory changes, and packaging innovations to inform sourcing decisions and mitigate supply risks.
  • Support contract development, pricing frameworks, and long-term agreements to ensure value delivery, supply continuity, and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure all sourcing and supplier management activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and sustainability standards.
  • Lead and manage sourcing performance metrics and KPIs, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
