Sanitation Manager

The job overview for the Sanitation Manager position is to schedule and manage the sanitation team, ensuring compliance with mandatory sanitation requirements in a powder infant formula manufacturing and packaging environment. The manager is responsible for training employees, maintaining a Master Sanitation Schedule, making recommendations for improvements, enforcing safety and GMP policies, and overseeing site cleaning validation and pest management programs.

• Schedule and manage the sanitation team to ensure compliance with mandatory sanitation requirements for machinery, equipment, and facility.
• Train sanitation and plant employees to achieve and maintain sanitation objectives.
• Build and maintain a Master Sanitation Schedule and related documentation.
• Meet cleaning frequencies established in the Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Make recommendations for improvements and lead improvement teams.
• Maintain chemical inventory quantities and interact with the chemical supplier for advice on training or sanitation issues.
• Participate in the development and auditing of SSOP's (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures).
• Enforce safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) policies and maintain plant cleanliness.
• Maintain the site cleaning validation program.
• Maintain the site Pest Management Program and liaise with pest management contractor.
• Manage site contractors/vendors activities related to quality and facility.
