UX Researcher

Edge & Node is seeking a creative UX Researcher to join their Design Team. The company, dedicated to advancing web3 and building a decentralized future, has developed The Graph, an indexing protocol used by numerous protocols and dapps. The UX Researcher will be responsible for defining research goals, formulating research protocols, organizing and executing research, and communicating research outcomes. They should have a strong understanding of technically complex user flows, experience working with developer tools, and expertise in Figma/Sketch. The ideal candidate should be passionate about solving difficult problems, have exceptional communication skills, and possess emotional intelligence. Experience within web3/crypto and conducting quantitative analysis is a bonus.

• Define research goals in collaboration with designers and team members
• Formulate research protocols that adhere to industry best practices and avoid biased outcomes
• Organize and execute research by recruiting users, scheduling testing sessions, and capturing feedback through various channels
• Synthesize session outputs into clear and actionable recommendations
• Partner with UX designers to address research outcomes
• Understand technically complex user flows and conduct broad research across a portfolio of products
• Provide numerous examples of previous user research processes with polished artifacts
• Work with tools used by developers, such as Command-Line, IDE's, and collaboration tooling
• Expertise in Figma/Sketch for collaborating with design partners
• Dive into difficult problem spaces and identify core user objectives
• Give feedback to team members with compassion and confidence, and receive feedback with humility
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic, take ownership, and maintain high accuracy in proof-checking work
• Apply emotional intelligence to think through design problems and arrive at thoughtful solutions
